Chat
The chat interface is a conversational way to interact with your DelegateZero workspace. You can test how decisions would be handled, explore your stored context, add new context through natural language, or get help with the platform - all from a single conversation.
Access it from the Chat page in your dashboard.
What the chat does
Every message you send is classified into one of four intents. DelegateZero detects which one applies and routes your message accordingly.
Test a decision
Present a hypothetical scenario and see how DelegateZero would handle it. The chat runs your scenario through the full decision pipeline in dry-run mode - using your stored policies, precedents, entities, and other context - and returns the outcome, confidence score, generated response, and reasoning.
Examples:
- "How would you respond to this client email asking for a discount?"
- "Should I approve this expense request for $2,500?"
- "Draft a response to a partner asking about integration timelines"
Decision tests show a confidence tip after every result. Low confidence means your context has gaps for that type of scenario. High confidence means your context is covering it well.
Explore your context
Ask what you know about a topic and DelegateZero searches your stored context using relevance scoring. Matching entries are returned organized by type, with gap analysis highlighting what's missing.
Examples:
- "What do I know about Acme Corp?"
- "What policies do I have around refunds?"
- "Do I have a template for onboarding emails?"
- "What precedents exist for late payments?"
Add context
Share information naturally and DelegateZero will draft a structured context entry from it. The system identifies the best context type (policy, precedent, entity, playbook, template, or source), writes a clean version, and asks you to confirm before saving. If the information is incomplete, it asks a clarifying question first.
Examples:
- "Our refund policy is 30 days no questions asked"
- "John Smith at Acme is our main point of contact"
- "Last week we approved an exception for BigCo's late payment because they're a strategic partner"
Once confirmed, the entry is saved and immediately available to future decisions.
Get help
Ask questions about DelegateZero and get conversational guidance with references to relevant documentation and features. The system is aware of your current context state and can tailor suggestions based on what you have and what's missing.
Conversation starters
When you open the chat, DelegateZero generates conversation starters based on your existing context. If you have entities, it might suggest exploring one. If you have policies, it might suggest testing a scenario against one. If you have no context yet, it suggests onboarding-oriented prompts to help you get started.
Multi-turn conversations
The chat maintains conversation history within a session. Follow-up messages are classified with the prior conversation as context, so you can build on previous messages naturally - refine a decision test, ask deeper questions about a context query result, or provide additional details when creating context.
There are no results for that search on this page, however, if you press the enter key then our entire documentation will be searched and you will receive the results. If you need assistance, please contact us.
