Linear

The Linear integration connects DelegateZero to your issue tracker so it can identify new issues that require executive judgment before work can proceed.

Setup

  1. In Linear, go to Settings → API → Personal API Keys and create a new key named "DelegateZero"
  2. Go to Integrations → Linear in the dashboard
  3. Paste your API key and click Save

DelegateZero validates the key immediately by connecting to your Linear workspace. The team name confirms a successful connection.

What gets surfaced

DelegateZero scans for newly created issues in triage or backlog state. Most issues are ignored. Only issues that represent a decision point requiring founder or executive judgment are surfaced - typically approvals, resource commitments, or trade-offs that block the team.

Examples of issues that get surfaced:

  • An issue asking whether to pursue a technically expensive architectural change
  • A bug report escalated because it affects a key customer and needs a priority decision
  • A feature request from a large customer requiring a scoping decision

Regular bug reports, minor tasks, and routine feature work are ignored.

Scan cadence

DelegateZero checks for new Linear issues every 15 minutes. Only issues created since the last scan are reviewed.

Queue behavior

Surfaced issues run through the full decision pipeline. Each appears in your Queue with the issue title, creator, and a drafted response. You review, then approve or dismiss.

Disconnecting

You can disconnect Linear at any time from Integrations → Linear. Existing queue items are not deleted.

There are no results for that search on this page, however, if you press the enter key then our entire documentation will be searched and you will receive the results. If you need assistance, please contact us.
