Slack
The Slack integration lets you submit decision requests directly from any channel or DM, and receive results inline with outcome, confidence, and an audit link.
Setup
- Go to Integrations → Slack in the dashboard
- Download the Slack app manifest and create a new app at api.slack.com/apps
- Install the app to your workspace
- Copy your Bot Token and Signing Secret and paste them into the dashboard
Using the slash command
In any channel or DM, type /decide followed by your request:
/decide Should we extend the contract with Acme Corp for another quarter?
DelegateZero returns the outcome, confidence score, and a brief reason directly in the channel. Escalations trigger a DM to the workspace owner.
Using the message shortcut
Hover over any Slack message, open the three-dot menu, and select Forward to DelegateZero. The message text is submitted as the decision request. This is useful when an incoming message itself is the thing that needs a response.
How it works
Slack submissions run the same full decision pipeline as API requests - your stored policies, precedents, entities, and templates are all consulted. The response is posted back to the channel via Slack's response URL within seconds.
Slack is a reactive integration. DelegateZero does not scan your Slack workspace autonomously. To surface Slack messages proactively, use the message shortcut.
